On Sunday the 2nd of June (also Italy’s national bank holiday – Festa della Repubblica), we decided to go and participate in the final stage of the Giro Italia 2019 in the Arena di Verona. The usual very noisy and hectic Showmanship from the organisers where gadgets galore and very attractive models were the order of the day!
The Final wait arrived who was going to take the prestigious ‘Amore Infinito’ trophy back home – joining the elite of World-Wide Cycling Champions? Vincenzo Nibali or Riccardo Carapaz.. Well with the searing heat in the arena the Ecuadorian nipped it. A worthy winner of the Giro. A special mention to Chad Haga who hit the turbo button to win the final Crono stage.
Relive the final moments in the arena with us….
